Mom’s Lasagne
1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey
Meat Mixture Ingredients:
1 clove Garlic
1 tbsp Parsley
1½ tsp Basil
¾ tsp Salt
1 28 oz can Tomatoes
1 5½ oz can Tomato Paste
Lasagne Noodles
Cheese Mixture Ingredients:
1 12 oz Cottage Cheese
1 Egg, beaten
½ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Pepper
3 tbsp Parmesan Cheese
Mozzarella Cheese, to cover
Brown meat, remove fat, add meat mixture ingredients, simmer uncovered for 30 minutes stirring often. Cook noodles, drain, rinse under cold water. Mix together cheese mixture ingredients. Spread 1/3 sauce in 9 x 13” dish. Cover 1/3 noodles, more sauce over noodles, another layer of noodles, cheese mixture, more noodles, more sauce, more noodles, more sauce. Top with Mozzarella Cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
