Tomato Herb Cream Sauce with Penne
2 tbsp Vegetable oil
1 clove Garlic, minced
1 medium Onion, chopped
1 (28 oz/796 mL can) or (19 oz/540 mL can) Whole Tomatoes
1 tsp granulated Sugar
1 tsp dried Basil
1/2 tsp dried Oregano leaves
1/2 tsp Salt
3 cups Penne pasta
1/2 cup Whipping cream
HEAT oil in large frying pan, saute garlic and onion over medium-high heat for 3 minutes. ADD tomatoes, breaking apart with a fork, sugar, basil, oregano and salt; bring to a boil. SIMMER, stirring occasionally for 20 to 25 minutes or until slighty thickened. MEANWHILE cook pasta as directed on package; drain. STIR cream into tomato mixture; heat through. SPOON over pasta.
